Update 4/24/23: The contractor’s plan is to shut down the Gabbert Park parking lot on Monday, April 24^th to clean the existing surface in preparation for paving operations that is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, April 25^th. The Contractor will then pave as much of the park as is possible on the 25^th and the newly paved portion will be opened to the public at the end of the day. The remaining unpaved area will remain closed until the next available paving day. This section could be closed for a few days depending on the forecast. Once the paving at the park is completed, they will jump over to complete the second lift of asphalt in the reconstructed/newly built portion of Center Street.
